Occupational Safety & Health
Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) services are offered to state-wide members of the LGIS Workcare Scheme. In conjunction with the Workers’ Compensation Claims Team, the OSH department strives to develop and implement proactive Health and Safety strategies.
OSH services to Scheme members includes, advice on OSH legislation, OSH related policies and procedures, workplace inspections, risk assessment, job safety analysis (JSA), desktop and full OSH audits based on the "AS/NZS 4801: 2001 Occupational Safety and Health Management System", in the aim of reducing the risk of injury and disease, and complying with National Standards.
